SPI Medical Imaging: NHS Looks to Faculty Science to Facilitate AIDP

In late April, the UK Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) announced that it has signed Faculty Science as the prime contractor for the development of the UK NHS Artificial Intelligence Deployment Platform (NHS AIDP).

The award notice came into effect in September 2023, with the £2 million contract set to run for two years. Faculty Science is taking an active role in the delivery of the programme, collaborating with Cimar and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust (RSNFT) to make up the supplier consortium for the AIDP.

This announcement indicates that progress is being made on the NHS AIDP project, but there is still a long way to go and many challenges to overcome.
