Growth capital firm BGF has made a £6 million ($6.5 million) investment in Signify Research, the U.K.-based provider of market intelligence in the health tech sector, to support the company’s growth and extend its market influence as a trusted source of research and consulting services.

Signify Research specializes in medical imaging, health IT, and AI in healthcare, offering insights that help healthcare leaders make strategic decisions.

The company will remain under the leadership of co-founders Steve Holloway (CEO) and Alex Green (COO), but will be joined by Gareth Miller in the role of non-executive chair. Miller, previously CEO of Cornwall Insight, brings extensive experience in scaling B2B services and will assist Signify in executing its growth strategy.

“This partnership is a testament to the strength of our business model and the potential for future growth,” said Holloway, in a statement. “We are confident that with BGF’s support, and the highly relevant experience of Gareth Miller, we will continue to lead the way in delivering cutting-edge healthcare technology market intelligence solutions.”

BGF was set up in 2011 and has invested over £4 billion in more than 600 companies, making it the most active investor in the U.K.
